Violence in Brussels as thousands protest against UN migration pact




Belgian police used water cannons, gas, and horse back baton charges to disperse thousands of people who gathered in Brussels on Sunday to protest the UN Migration Compact.

Politico reports that at least 90 people were detained by police in the demonstration that was organised by Flemish nationalist and had an attendance of around 10,000 people.

The Pact, which for the time being is not legally binding, seeks make mass migration from the third world to the West a human right and is a key part of the UN’s population replacement programme.

The Belgian government itself has already split over the pact with Flemish nationalist N-VA party leaving Prime Minister Charles Michel’s coalition government.
