Walking In A Winter Wonderland: Castlecomer Discovery Park’s Christmas wonderland has officially opened in Co Kilkenny and it looks amazing!

It is beginning to feel a lot more like Christmas as November is drawing to a close and the festive season is coming in to full swing, with Christmas lights and villages popping up everywhere and none more so than in Co Kilkenny as Castlecomer Discovery Park’s Christmas wonderland has officially opened its doors recently.

The magnificent Christmas wonderland which caters for kids and adults alike has officially opened its 80 acre of winter woodland to the public this week and it has plenty to offer with cosy cabins, an elf village, Christmas movies and much much more. The fantastic Christmas wonderland also gives everyone the chance to personally meet Santa and Mrs Clause who will then give the little ones a present on the day.

The Christmas village which is being dubbed a Ireland’s Lapland, also offers visitors the chance to take a trip on Lapland Express which travels through the park’s wintry woodlands. It is believed visitors will enjoy the festive journey as the colourful train will travel across the 17th century stone bridge, over Lake Lapland and then around the giant Christmas tree. The magical ride will then stop at Santa’s sleigh which will then be loaded with gifts by a gigantic Wheel of Christmas.

The family day out will then be capped off with a complimentary hot chocolate for the kids and mulled wine for the adults yum! The exceptional Christmas experience is said to be a joy for all and a must see for all those who love Christmas.
