Many of you will be breaking out the sun cream later today as temperatures are expected to hit a staggering 30C in some places according to leading forecasters.
The extraordinary temperatures has even seen national forecaster Met Eireann issue a yellow status weather warning, which will come into effect at 10am and will last until 8pm this evening.
The amazing weather also looks set to stay for the rest of the week although temperatures will be a slight bit cooler from Wednesday onwards with Met Eireann saying most places will experience temperatures in the region of 21C. However towards the Weekend there will be some showers expected throughout the country.
The mini heatwave has also led to many health care professionals to appeal to the public to keep hydrated and make sure they take care whilst being out in the sun as there is a high chance of developing heatstroke.
