Was it you? Pilot forced to make emergency landing because passenger’s farts were so repulsive

A pilot of a Transavia Airline flight from Dubai to Amsterdam last weekend was forced to make an emergency landing after a fight broke out because a passenger wouldn’t stop repulsively farting.

The passenger kept farting and laughing at the good of it – but two Dutch passengers didn’t see the fun in it as they were sitting next to the man and a row broke out despite being warned by the pilot that the low fares airliner would make an emergency landing if anything kicked off.

When the row broke out, the pilot did make an emergency landing in Vienna and police boarded the plane with dogs and removed two sisters and the two men after the pilot made a report about ‘passengers on the rampage’.

The women claim they did nothing wrong and were caught up in the mayhem. 25-yr-old Nora Lacchab, a law student from Rotterdam, and her sister, say being removed was ‘humiliating’ are now seeking to legal action having spoken to the airline already.

Nora told De Telegraaf: ‘We had nothing to do with the whole disturbance. We distance ourselves from that. We’d no idea who these boys were. All I will say is that the crew were really provocative and stirred things up.’.

Everyone has been released but have been banned for life from the airline.

In a statement the airline said: ‘Our crew must ensure a safe flight. When passengers pose risks, they immediately intervene. Our people are trained for that. ‘They know very well where the boundaries are. Transavia is therefore square behind the cabin crew and the pilots.’
