Washout: Weather warnings in place today – reach for the umbrellas

Make sure to grab the umbrella today as Wednesday is set to be a complete washout.

Met Eireann has warned that there will be persistent heavy rain over Leinster, east Munster and east Ulster, with some flooding too.

It will however will be drier elsewhere, with some sunshine in Atlantic coastal counties. 

Tonight is set to be be cold and dry with frost and fog developing also. 

Lowest temperatures to be between -1 and +3 C.

Light southeast winds will increase moderate to fresh by dawn, with the winds strong and gusty along Atlantic coasts.
