“We made a balls up and I apologise” – Michael O’Leary addresses the Ryanair flight scheduling mess

Michael O’Leary has confirmed that there will be around 50 flights a day cancelled for the next six weeks. He apologised for the inconvenience caused to around 400,000 passengers but emphasized that there was still 18 million passengers not affected.

“We made a balls up and I apologise”, the head of Ryanair said at a press conference this afternoon.

Ryanair have announced a full list of the flights that are cancelled up until Wednesday 20th September.

The airline have plans to cancel 40-50 flights a day for the next six weeks.

The flight cancellations are being implemented due to pilot shortages, and will affect thousands of passengers who have received such short notice.
