It may be nearly August, but it looks anything but weather wise.
The next two days are expected to be a total washout, with long and heavy rain showers predicted for large areas of the country.
Today, Saturday, will start reasonably dry and bright, but scattered showers will soon break out, spreading eastwards throughout the day.
Tomorrow won’t fare any better, with widespread heavy showers expected towards the afternoon.
Temperatures will hover around high teens both days.
And the coming week is not likely to be much better, as the usual mix of sunshine and showers will be the norm.
