There is no respite in the current spell of wintry weather, as Met Eireann forecasts snow, rain, and sleet over the next 24 hours.
A new weather warning has been issued, and will remain in place until 11am tomorrow morning.
Driving conditions are expected to be extremely treacherous during Wednesday and into Thursday, so the national forecaster is asking for extreme caution while driving, or for pedestrians walking on slippery footpaths.
