Low temperatures overnight have caused widespread disruption to travel, with frost, ice, and snowfalls in many areas.
The current freezing spell is set to continue, with another cold night ahead. Temperatures are expected to drop to -5C in places, with scattered wintry showers across the country.
It will be particularly cold across the midlands and the east, with severe frost likely to disrupt surface travel.
