White House and Pentagon no longer recognise LGBTQ Pride month

The White House has chosen not to honour LGBTQ by lighting up the façade of the building in the colours of the rainbow.

The Obama administration would take significant steps to pander to the LGBTQ community and highlight its National HIV/AIDS Strategy every year, including projecting the colours of the rainbow, which are now associated with the gay rights movement, onto the White House.

The Trump administration however, has not acknowledged LGBTQ pride month in the last two years.

This year the HQ of the U.S military, the Pentagon, has followed the footsteps of their Commander in Chief and not distributed a memo acknowledging gay pride month.

President Trump has been criticised by the LGBTQ before, after he banned transgender individuals from serving in any capacity in the US Military. A decision that senior U.S military officers and veterans have defended.
