The White House was put into lockdown earlier today, due to the presence of a ‘suspicious’ package outside the building’s grounds.
The object in question had been placed on the northeast corner of the White House complex. It was eventually deemed safe.
This is the second time in two days that the White House has been under lockdown procedures. Yesterday, two individuals were detained after one of them appeared to throw an object over the outer fence. This object was also deemed to be safe.
