The Presidential TV debate has got underway this evening on Claire Byrne Live.
In the absence of current President Michael D Higgins, the five candidates are answering questions on why they think they should become the next President of Ireland.
Amongst those taking part in tonight’s debate include business man Sean Gallagher who has criticised the current President for not appearing on the debate.
The other four remaining candidates including businessman Gavin Duffy, Senator Joan Freeman, Liadh NĂ Riada and Peter Casey have been gunning for opportunity to tell the Irish public what policies and changes they will implement if they are elected president.
