Met Eireann have issued two orange status weather warnings for Wednesday as Storm Diana approaches.
The weather warnings come as gusts reaching 130kp/h are expected in the West and south of the country early on Wednesday morning.
Met Éireann say the warnings will apply to counties Cork, Kerry and Waterford and will come into effect from 6am to midday, meanwhile an orange status warning will be in place for Wexford, Galway and Clare from 9am until 2pm.
The National forecaster have also issued a yellow status weather warning for the rest of the country which will come into effect from 5am to 6pm on Wednesday.
