Three weather warnings remain in place this afternoon, as the country continues to be punished by high winds and heavy rain.
A wind warning is in place for counties Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick. Wind gusts of up to 90 and 110kmph are expected.
Elsewhere, a rainfall warning covers counties Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo.
And finally, a nationwide warning for snow and ice will remain in place until 8pm this evening.
Weather conditions are set to improve somewhat tomorrow, Friday, with bright spells and showers forecast. Temperatures should rise to about 8-9C.
