Winter wonderland: Met Eireann say snow will hit Ireland late next week

Many you may have wanted a White Christmas but unfortunately it never prevailed, well now it seems Ireland could soon see a sprinkling of the white stuff in the coming days ahead as Met Éireann has forecast snow for late next week.

According to the national forecaster the weather will turn bitterly cold towards next weekend which could result in wintery conditions.

Although forecasters say it will be mild across the country from Monday until Wednesday, showers of Hail, sleet and snow are expected late on Wednesday evening and early Thursday morning.

There will be also be severe bouts of frost expected overnight.

There you have it, a sprinkling of snow will surely cheer up those January blues. Just remember to wrap up warm!
