A woman has tragically died after falling from a bridge on the M50 motorway this afternoon (Sunday).
It is believed the woman fell from a bridge at junction 13 near Dundrum, at approximately 2pm this afternoon. The woman who has not been named died at the scene, the junction has since been closed due to garda examination it is expected that the junction will reopen this evening.
A spokesman for the gardai has said that “this was tragic accident which sadly could not have been prevented”. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to the woman’s family at this difficult time”.
