Woman sentenced to six months in prison after she stabbed her boyfriend for eating all their chips

A woman in the UK has been sentenced to six months in prison after she stabbed her boyfriend for eating all their chips.

The woman who carried out the rather bizarre and excessive act of revenge Diane Clayton, 34, was sentenced to spend six months behind bars after she assaulted her partner Simon Hill.

According to court testimony the stabbing occurred when the couple where at a friend’s house, having drinks and eating chips, when Ms Clayton stabbed Hill after he ate more than his fair share.

Speaking at Blackburn Magistrates Court, lead prosecutor Parveen Akhtar said: “Simon Hill ate them all and that caused her to get angry.” “She was seen to slap him across the face before leaving the room. She picked up a knife in the kitchen and then stabbed him causing a superficial injury.”

It is believed the couple later left together but Hill returned to the friend’s house, fearing for his own safety. However the vicious assault didn’t end there as Clayton returned to the house the next morning and attacked Hill again, cutting his hands.

Ms Clayton was sentenced to six months in prison and given £115 fine after she pleaded guilty to assaulting causing actual bodily harm.
