Police in the UK have launched an investigation after a workman was killed by a falling window pane on Tuesday morning.
The investigation comes after the unnamed workman was instantly killed by the glass as he walked by an apartment complex which is under development in central London.
It is believed the man who was working at a nearby construction site was instantly killed as the heavy window pane fell from the 27th floor of the luxury development on the Albert Embankment, in Thames Riverside.
Although police were altered that a man had been injured outside the construction site, the man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 11am on Tuesday morning.
Police say the tragic incident occurred at a new apartment complex which is currently under development.
They also say it is estimated that the window pane fell 250 feet on to the man who happended to be walking underneath.
It is understood that the health and safety authority has also been informed about the incident.
