Frost and ice are set to return as Met Éireann warn that the weekend ahead will be a chilly one.
Temperatures are set to drop to a freezing -3 degrees by Saturday with icy patches forming in most of the country.
Met Éireann said it will be cold tonight, with hail in places and a chance of thunder.
Yellow weather warnings remain in place and pedestrians and drivers are urged to be vigilant as gusts as high as 110 km/h are expected.
