The states national forecaster Met Eireann has said a yellow status weather warning still remains in place after the country was the victim of heavy winds and rain caused by storm Frank in the past number of days
Met Eireann say counties Wexford, Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, Clare, Cork, Kerry and Waterford will still experience high winds over the next few days.
There will also be prolonged periods of heavy rainfall for the majority of the country, with temperatures expected plummet tonight and tomorrow.
