There have been denials from yes campaigners this morning that fathers will have less rights if yes wins the referendum on the Eighth Amendment.
No campaigners have claimed that if yes wins, fathers will have less rights to their unborn children in terms of whether they want to allow the child be born or aborted.
Yes side campaigners say that a father will still have rights if yes wins and that it would be for a court to decide if a father wanted to intervene in there was a dispute.
Meanwhile the No side say that if yes wins, there would be legal quagmires for some fathers who wouldn’t want their unborn baby aborted but the unborn child’s mother would want to have an abortion.
Polls are open across the country until 10pm tonight.
