The Department of Foreign Affairs have released the name of the young Irish man after he was found dead in a hotel room in India.
The young man was named as Brendan Devenney, who was 24 years of age and from Mullingar Co Westmeath. Brennan was found unconscious by hotel staff in Mumbai on Tuesday. He was sadly pronounced dead on arrival at a local hospital. A post mortem has taken place.
