Young woman allegedly kidnapped and raped manages to evade her captors by enabling location sharing feature on her phone

A Belgian woman who was allegedly kidnapped by five men successfully managed to evade her captors after she somehow managed to switch on the location sharing feature on her phone.

According to the EFE news agencey, the 19 year old who was allegedly taken by five men outside a nightclub in Brussels last weekend was rescued after police manage to track her down via her phone.

It is understood the young woman who was held captive for two days and allegedly drugged and raped by her attackers in the town of Charleroi, managed to alert her brother after she managed to get her hands on her phone whilst they weren’t looking.

The young girl who was rescued by police within a matter of minutes apparently managed to enable the location setting before sending it to her brother who then informed the police.

It is reported that police then stormed the apartment in which the young woman was held before they arrested two men at the scene.

Police say the girl has since been transferred to hospital for treatment, whilst two of the woman’s captors have been arrested and charged with kidnapping and rape.

They also say the search for the three other men involved is currently ongoing.
