Gardaí in Co Longford have confirmed that a 23 year old woman has been airlifted to Beaumont Hospital following a major collision on the N4 at Lamagh.
It is understood the young woman suffered head injuries following the crash which occurred shortly after 3pm this afternoon.
According to The Leitrim Observer, Gardai arrested a woman aged in her 50s at the scene.
