A number of schools will remain closed this morning following snowfall overnight.
A number of areas of Clare and Limerick had heavy snowfall overnight, with some schools in those counties closing today for safety reasons.
âOver 10cm of snow is expected to fall in parts of the country today and tomorrow, with hazardous travel conditions on the roads and many school closures predicted for Friday as Status Yellow snow and ice warnings will be in place for the entire country.
People are advised to check with their local Principal and Vice Principal for closures, along with text messages, other parents and Facebook pages for updates in their area and for their school.
