

46-yr-old Alexandru Iordache, originally from Romania but living in Ireland for years, has pleaded guilty to the the savage murder of Limerick woman Rose Hanrahan in 2017.
Ms. Hanrahan was killed during a break-in at her home in Limerick, where she had lived for over 40 years. The brutality of the crime shocked residents across the city.
Locals say that Ms Hanrahan was a lovely, friendly, kind and caring person who enjoyed her community, went to Mass and was liked by all.
The Romanian appeared in court today and admitted to the evil killing as the case continues.
