
The Republic of Ireland have been beaten by the Ukraine for their second match of the UEFA Nations League group stage after they tried to bounce back from their loss to Armenia.
Stephen Kenny’s Ireland suffered a 1-0 defeat at Yerevan in their League B – Group 1 opener and lost tonight’s match when the Ukraine scored in the 47th minute.
It was the first competitive home game of the year as the FAI is expected to host more than 3,500 Ukrainian refugees at the Aviva Stadium who received free tickets from the association for the game.
