The Taoiseach Micheal Martin is expected to announce plans for the phase of the reopening of society later today.
It is understood that the Taoiseach will meet with fellow cabinet Ministers later today to discuss NPHET’s reccomendations.
Under the proposals indoor dining could return on July 5th, whilst outdoor dining is expected to return on June 7th.
Other topics to be discussed include the return of spectators at live events and the possible reopening of theatres and cinemas.
Meanwhile the Government are also expected to discuss the prospect of non essential foreign travel and the EU’s Digital Green Certificate system.
