A woman has appeared in court for the murder of her two children in a car fire in Co Westmeath nearly two weeks ago.
It’s believed she is the mother of the two children.
Lynn Egar, residing in Winetown, Rathowen Co. Westmeath, appeared before a special session of Mullingar Circuit Court this evening.
5-yr-old Thelma Dennany and her 2-yr-old brother Mikey were killed in the car fire that broke out on Coole Road in Multyfarnham on September 9.
According to RTE, Detective Sergeant David Donnelly of the Mullingar Garda Station testified about the arrest, the charge and the warning.
The court heard that Ms. Egar did not respond when she was charged at 7:22pm tonight at Mullingar Garda station.
