?BREAKING: National Weather emergency response team to hold emergency meetings every day this week in an effort to combat -7c weather with possible snow blasts




The national weather response team met this morning at 10:30am.

Members of the government also were in attendance with Met Eireann joining the meeting via video link with a detailed update on the weather for the coming days.

It’s now been decided that the national emergency weather response team will meet every day over the coming week and will decide whether action needs to be taken in relation to combat the weather and possibly save lives.

It’s believed that the weather is due to plummet to -7c in places.

It’s expected that the team may issue a national weather warning, alert and provisions for people to get home from the weather by a certain time to avoid the worst of the inclement conditions.
