Revenue officers have seized 13,000 illegal cigarettes in Cork city, along with 16 kilos of unstamped tobacco and two cars used to transport the smuggled items.
The haul carries an estimated street value of €14,000.
A man in his 40s and a woman in her 60s have been questioned in relation to the incident, and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
