A 17-year-old has died following a collision between a car and a lorry in Co Cavan.
The collision occurred around 6pm on the N3 near Kilnalack on Thursday evening.
The teenager was seriously injured in the accident and was taken to Cavan General Hospital, where he later died.
A woman in her 50s and a man in his 40s were also injured in the crash. They are being treated at Cavan General Hospital for serious but not life-threatening injuries.
The road was closed for technical review.
Gardaí appeal to all witnesses, in particular road users who may have dash cam footage, to contact them on the Confidential Line on 1800-66-61-11.
