A 19-year-old male teenager is in a critical condition in hospital after taking an unknown substance at a Cork festival.
It is understood that the teenager attended the Indiependence music in Mitchelstown, Co. Cork, where we walked into the makeshift medical center feeling unwell. He received first aid treatment there before being transferred to University Hospital Cork, where his condition quickly deteriorated.
The hospital subsequently released a statement that a number of people had presented themselves after reportedly taking tablets at the festival.
