2-yr-old little girl who sadly died in tragic accident in Waterford named locally

Locals have identified the two-year-old child who passed away at her County Waterford home after being caught in a window blind’s chord, reports Breaking News.

On Wednesday night, Elizabeth (Lizzie) Troy of Coolnasmear, Dungarvan, County, passed away.

A woman in the home discovered the youngster, who has a twin sister named Freyja, unconscious and promptly called emergency personnel. The paramedics and the guards raced to the scene, reports Breaking News.

After being transported to University Hospital Waterford (UHW) by the National Ambulance Service (NAS), Lizzie was declared dead there in spite of the heroic efforts of the medical team to save her life.

Her twin sister Freyja, her grandparents Lisa and Declan O’Keefe and Kathleen and Martin Troy, great grandparents Willie and Mary Rigney, great aunt Betty McEvoy, aunts Lydia and Jessica Troy, uncles Joey and Kelvin Troy and Michael Phelan, and her parents, “heartbroken parents,” Nathan Troy and Mary Caitlan Rigney, are all alive.

Her funeral details on rip.ie add: “Lizzie’s remains will be reposing in Coolnasmear (Eircode X35 XR70) on Sunday from 3pm to 7p.m. Her Funeral Mass of the Angels will take place on Monday at 3p.m in St Gobnait’s Church, Kilgobinet. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery,” reports Breaking News.
