There have been calls for Dubai’s government to release a young man from London who has been given an extremely hefty jail sentence.
Billy Hood, 24, from Kensington, London, says he is “praying” and “hoping” authorities will “see the light” and release him from prison.
According to Sky News, Hood was working as a football coach in the UAE country when police found four small bottles of the oil derived from cannabis, and a vape pen, in his car. They arrested him on 31st of January and he’s been in prison ever since.
He was convicted of drug trafficking with intent to supply by a court and has been held ever since claiming that he’s been sleeping on the floor for the past 8 days as he awaits his appeal.
