29-yr-old groom to be sadly dies in front of father and friends in tragic accident on his stag party

A stag party in Benidorm ended in heartbreak when a groom-to-be died in front of his father and friends in a tragic accident, reports The Mirror.

The 29-yr-old man from Halifax, UK — who was also a father — sadly lost his life following an incident at the Funky Flamingo bar on March 22.

According to the bar’s manager, the man fell backwards from a bar stool and struck his head on the ground. He lost consciousness, and despite efforts from bar staff and paramedics to revive him, he was pronounced dead at the scene, the Mirror reports.

Spain’s National Police released a statement, saying: “We can confirm that a man suffered some type of medical problem and died at the scene. He received immediate attention from those at the venue and then from the emergency services who arrived following the incident. The exact medical reasons for his death are yet to be determined,” reports The Mirror.

Witnesses said the man’s father and friends, who were there during the tragedy, were overcome with emotion and visibly distraught.

Funky Flamingo bar manager Gaston Luciano told MailOnline: “They gave him a shot of adrenaline and connected him to a machine, they did everything they could, it was so sad. His friends were in shock for the first minute or so and then it hit them what was happening, they were emotional and crying,” reports The Mirror.,

Bystanders described seeing “several police cars” and two ambulances outside the venue. Reports also mentioned a considerable amount of blood from the head injury, with images showing a strong emergency services presence.

The man, who had previously suffered a heart attack, was in Benidorm celebrating his upcoming wedding, which was due to take place in May.

In a statement to the Mirror, a UK Foreign Office spokesperson said: “We are supporting the family of a British man who has died in Spain,” reports The Mirror.
