At least thirty two people have died after a strong quake hit the Indonesian island of Lombok early on Sunday morning.
The quake, measuring 7.0 in the Richter Scale, had a relatively shallow epicenter, just 10km beneath the surface.
Several aftershocks rocked the affected area for hours, hampering rescue efforts.
Initially, there were fears that a tsunami might hit the stricken areas, but this did not come to pass.
