8-yr-old Ukrainian girl remains fighting for her life after serious assault in house in Limerick – her mother is also in hospital




Gardai say that they’re continuing to investigate what happened that led to a 8-yr-old Ukrainian girl fighting for her life in hospital after sustaining an attack in a property in Clare.

The incident happened inside a property at Clareabbey, on the outskirts of Ennis, Co. Clare, on Tuesday afternoon.

It is understood that a female child sustained serious injuries and was rushed to University Hospital Limerick for treatment.

The child and her mother are Ukrainian and were living in the property having fled the conflict in the Ukraine.

The girl has been rushed to Crumlin hospital where her condition is said to be life threatening and where she is continuing to receive life saving treatment.

Gardai say that they are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident and believe the assault happened within the confines of the house.
