A glimmer of Spring: High pressure building over Ireland will soon give way to mild, settled weather

After a few days of cool and unsettled weather, a spell of mild and calm conditions is upon us as high pressure begins to build over the country.

The coming week is expected to be fairly bright and sunny, with temperatures reaching mid teens at times.

There will some outbreaks of rain on Monday, clearing towards the afternoon, and the best weather is expected around Leinster. Conditions will be greatly improved from Tuesday onwards, with long sunny spells and temperatures up to 15C in places.

Nights will remain cool, but it will be a rather calm week weather wise overall.
