Afghan migrant and two sons arrested follow stabbing death on bus in Swedish town

An Afghan asylum seeker along with two of his sons have been arrested in the Swedish town of Kiruna after a 21-year-old man was stabbed to death on a bus.

The town in the far north of the country has been left in shock following the alleged murder and the three Afghans arrested in connection with the death have claimed they acted in self defence in stabbing the man to death.

Swedish news website Nyheter Idag has reported that the three males came to Sweden in 2012 and initially applied for asylum but were rejected.

The three applied again applied in 2015 when Sweden had announced it was easing restrictions on migration and they obtained permanent residency permits, with the man’s sons becoming Swedish citizens last year.

Since that decision however, Sweden has seen a number of cases of anti-social behaviour as well as an increase in gang activity and crimes of a violent and sexual nature many of which have involved Afghan migrants as Breitbart news has reported.
