Agnes Broderick who died after collision with van ‘was a real lady’

The senior who was struck by a van in Carlow town on Thursday night has received a flood of tributes, reports Independent.

Agnes Broderick (née Harney), of Browneshill Avenue, Carlow, passed away on Thursday, June 27 at around 430 p.m. in a private parking lot at Presentation Place, which is close to the Carlow Town Cathedral.

After suffering severe injuries, Agnes, who was in her 80s, was sent to St. Luke’s General Hospital in Kilkenny, where she ultimately passed away, reports Independent.

The driver of the van was unharmed.

Details about her funeral will be made public on Sunday night, reports Independent.

Locals say that the woman was a real lady and she will be sorely missed from the community.
