Aircraft with 72 people on board crashes in Nepal, one Irish national believed to be among the passengers




An aircraft with 72 people on board has reportedly crashed in Nepal, with one Irish national believed to be among the passengers.

The plane, an ATR 72 operated by Yeti Airlines, came down near the town of Pokhara, around 200km away from the country’s capital, Katmandu.

Rescue crews have recovered 40 bodies so far, but a spokesperson said that they expect to recover many more.
