At least they got Storm Emma right – Met Eireann say Easter mightn’t be as bad as previously forecast

In all fairness, Met Eireann got the Beast from the East and Storm Emma very well forecast.

However, with forecasters recently predicting that we were about to get a white Easter, it appears that may out the window as Met Eireann claim Easter weather mightn’t be too bad after all.

Although the chances of a white Easter is still a possibility, Met Eireann say the country may not experience a second Beast from the East next weekend.

According to the National Forecaster, Easter weekend will be a cold weekend with some wintery showers expected throughout.

The National Forecaster who previously suggested that Ireland cold hit by another cold snap, revealed today that the latest weather charts are looking different with slightly milder temperatures expected next weekend.

Met Eireann say although they cannot give an exact forecast just yet, the cold spell expected for next weekend may not be as bad as previously feared and temperatures could potentially be slightly milder than expected.
