Rumours are rife this morning that country superstar will be back in Dublin next week for the first time since the Croke Park concerts debacle.
Industry sources say Brooks, the biggest selling artist in US history, is planning to fly to the capital next week to see Are You There, Garth? A play about his failed five-nights of concerts that never happened last year.
It’s Me, Margaret, the theatre show of his infamous failed bid to play five nights at the stadium.
The show has started a fortnight’s run at the Gaiety in Dublin and stars Deirdre O’Kane as Margaret, a struggling housewife and massive fan of the singer, whose hopes are dashed by the cancelled gigs.
Creator Darren Smith – the man behind Anglo: The Musical – says that Garth himself will probably come to the show either next Tuesday or Thursday.
Will you welcome the country star back to our shores?
