The national forecaster Met Eireann came in for some strong criticism during the course of this year as a number of people submitted complaints regarding their information and presentation of their weather reports.
The new information which was published in a recent report found that the vast majority of complaints were directed at the way female presenters dressed during the national forecast on television.
Amongst other complaints the weather service were also criticised for getting the forecast wrong on a number of occasions.
It is believed that many of the Irish public felt that presenters were too “glamour orientated” and less focused on getting the reports accurate, whilst many felt the forecasters inability to tell the weather correctly disrupted their plans in one way or another.
