A man has been reportedly taken to hospital this evening following an explosion at a house in Waterford City.
It is understood the man was taken to hospital after emergency services were altered to an incident in the Ballytruckle at approximately 8pm this evening.
Although it is not yet known what condition the man is in, a number of eyewitnesses have reported there was a loud explosion and flames along with smoke has been seen billowing from the house.
