Alan Kelly has been elected as the new leader of the Labour Party after his opponent in the leadership contest, Aodhán O RÃordáin conceded and lost the race tonight.
O RÃordáin phoned Kelly to congratulate him on his election as party leader, after the party got almost decimated in this year’s general election.
