It’s effectively crumbled in a matter of hours, the European Super League will almost definitely be not going ahead as now all six English clubs that were signing up to play have pulled out after massive public and political pressure.
Earlier, Chelsea and Manchester City had announced that they were preparing documents to formally withdraw from the controversial European Super League.
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is understood to have made the decision today, having listened to fan protests and opted to back out after major protests in Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Manchester City said that they were going to withdraw too leaving just Manchester Utd, Liverpool, Spurs and Arsenal in the Super League from English teams.
Now all six teams are out and have apologised to their fans for the controversy.
