BREAKING: Coronavirus – A new confirmed case in Republic of Ireland of man who did NOT travel to Italy

In breaking news this evening, it’s been confirmed that there’s another case of Coronavirus in the Republic of Ireland – this time in Cork.

According to the Irish Independent, the man is from Cork and did not travel to Italy in recent weeks or was not in contact with anyone who travelled to Italy.

It would appear that this is the first community-spread case of the coronavirus in Ireland – a fear that many health professionals had would happen.

It’s believed the man is being treated in Cork University Hospital with the hospital now displaying signs of “infection outbreak” – warning visitors that they’re not allowed into certain sections of the hospital at this time.

This is a dramatic change in the containment phase of the coronavirus in the Republic of Ireland with the HSE to give a statement within the next hour.
