Education Minister Norma Foley plans to gradually bring all students back to school from the start of March.
The date scheduled for the new reopening is Monday March 1st, however this is still subject to agreement with the education unions.
Foley wants all students to get back to school as soon as possible and is meeting with health experts later today to ensure that it’s safe for children to return to school.
A final decision on the Leaving Cert is to take place tomorrow with the Cabinet’s sub committee to meet and discuss plans for either a written or graded Leaving Cert for students.
